In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I wanted to share a little DIY project I put together recently for my boyfriend. He had just gotten home from a two-week-long work trip and was only going to be with me for a handful of days before having to leave again for another twenty-five. Knowing this would be a difficult stretch of time to be apart, I created a box of love notes. One note for him to open every day that we were apart. (The last note being on February 14th!)
Now, this project might be a little too late for this year's holiday, however you could use this same idea for plenty of other occasions. Be creative...
Anytime your loved one can't be with you.
Days leading up to an anniversary.
Days leading up to a birthday.
"Month of Love" 28-31 days of love notes.
Holiday love note Advent calendar.

This project doesn't require a lot of supplies and I had a lot of fun putting it all together. Made with love! Here is what you will need...
SUPPLIES:
Colored Construction Paper
Mini Envelopes
Markers
Scissors
Candy
I needed to fill twenty-four mini envelopes and I wanted to make sure that no two were the same. Of course, your project will be personal to you so as far as what you put inside each envelope will be different than what I put in mine. However, some examples of things that I put inside are poems, jokes, written memories, things I wanted him to know, some included photos, some included recipes of things I wanted to cook or bake when he got home, and some of the envelopes had messages that would direct him somewhere else (i.e. "check your email at 3pm for a surprise!") for added fun.
Here is an example of one note.
Oh! and I added chocolate candy to each one.
Because who doesn't love candy?
And there you have it:) I closed up each love note and placed them in order inside of a wrapped box. I was so happy giving it to him and he totally loved it. Sometimes the best things in life really are free...
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL!
With love,
Megan
